主要围绕超构光子学与光器件进行研究,具体包括:纳米光子学、超构材料、超构表面、光子晶体、非线性光学、微腔光学、二维材料、相变材料、图像处理、传感器、激光器、传感器、调制器等。目前,主持国家自然科学基金2项,贵州省自然科学基金1项,以第一或通信作者(含共同)在Laser & Photonics Reviews、ACS Photonics、Physical Review A/B/Applied、Optics Letters、Applied Physics Letters、Optics Express等国际著名刊物发表研究论文24篇, 谷歌学术论文引用1278次,单篇最高引用130次。同时是ACS Photonics, Communications Physics, Carbon, Optics Letters, Optics Express等十余个国际期刊的审稿人。指导本科生和硕士研究生在Physical Review A/B、Optics Letters等期刊发表论文8篇。
